The Story of the Demon and the Sun Dragon
There in the beginning there was no sun, only darkness. There was no earth or sun. There was only darkness. This darkness was caused by a demon who covered the whole universe. But there were places he could not cover with his darkness. In these places there existed dragons of all shapes and sizes; big ones, small ones, even fat ones. These dragons could breathe fire of all different shapes, colors, and sizes. They could burn a whole planet. It is said their magic was powerful also. That with their fire and magic they created suns and planets that didn't exist before.
One day there was born a dragon made of golden light. This light was so bright that it was like the brightest sun. But this dragon was not only illuminated in his physical body. His light was bright in other ways. He said, "It is not right what the demon is doing. One day I will challenge him."
The other dragons all laughed and said, "Little dragon, it is not time to think such thoughts." But The Sun Dragon knew one day there would come a time. Soon, very soon, is what the little dragon said to himself.
Time passed and the dragon grew over a hundred years into a mighty powerful dragon. He was far superior than any other dragon that ever existed. He grew in his magic as well. His light was so bright he didn't need his fire to burn planets.
One day he saw a vision of terrible places where planets were coverd in darkness wth no light. He said, "This cannot be." So he told the other dragons he would find this darkness and overcome it. The other dragons said to be careful. He said he would be careful and would return one day. But for now he must find the darkness and overcome it. So he ventured out into the vastness of space guided only by the light of the stars. He came to a dark planet that was the home of the demon. The demon saw him coming. "What do you want?" the demon asked. "The dragon replied, "Please do not cover all these planets with your darkness. It is sad to see the planets in darkness." The demon said, "I do what I want and I am going to consume you in darkness." The demon tried to cover him in darkness but every time he tried he felt the light burn through his darkness.
So the demon battled the dragon for years without success. But he wasn't willing to give up. He kept trying. But the dragon's magic kept getting stronger. One day the dragon scorched this one planet but it kept burning. It became the sun. Another day the demon threw a giant planet at the dragon. The dragon shattered it with his fire and proceeded to throw some of his magic onto the pieces. They became planets. The demon became very frustrated and fashioned a club that was made up of all the darkness he had consumed. He tried to hit the dragon on the back. The club broke and it freed all the light that had been trapped by the darkness consuming it. A silver streak appeared and from this millions of stars spilled out into the sky. It was an act of creation that even surprised the dragon. He didn't know he could do things like that.
They battled and the demon tried to cloak the planets but a strange thing happened. On one of the planets the dragon breathed on, life appeared from the darkness. This frustrated the demon even more. He tried even harder to destroy the dragon. The dragon actually felt sorry for the demon. But he could not let him win. So he created this great illusion. In this illusion he allowed darkness to fall but also for light to break through. He created this planet that only shined at night. It would change and go through cycles. The demon never knew. He thought it was dark all the time. He never knew the moon and the planets were actually going through cycles.
The dragon then poured his magic on the planet that had life. Many things appeared. Trees and all sorts of things Then he poured his magic and people appeared upon the planet. He breathed his light and people became conscious.
He made them in charge of taking are of all the living things upon the planet."You must respect all life. Do not forget how important all life is." But within the consciousness there was a struggle. For the demon was able to establish some influence in those who were afraid or who sought power. The dragon and the demon would each try to influence this young planet; one with fear, the other with consciousness. Those who sought the knowledge could overcome the darkness. He spread his consciousness to those who could use the knowledge. They must continue expansion of the universe.
To this day the conflict continues. He breathed the consciousness of awareness on the planets and created a conscious universe. He planted a memory of his kind of dragons, of higher learning to always look to the sun. It gave light and life. This is what we remember. And supposedly the dragon went back home to become the king of the dragons. But we remember and sometimes we all feel like we are part of the dragons. But more that that we sometime feel as if the Sun Dragon is watching us and hoping some of his wisdom rubs off on us and makes us aware.
